Catalina mariposa lily is the first of the mariposa lilies to bloom in the lower elevation areas of Southern California. It may be seen singly or in patches, typically in open grassy areas. These were along a trail connecting East Las Virgenes Canyon to Lasky Mesa. April 7, 2025.
